The Advanced Practice Provider will manage patient care in collaboration with physicians, balancing inpatient duties with outpatient provider inbox management. They are responsible for conducting physical examinations, interpreting diagnostic studies, and developing evidence-based treatment plans.
Candidates must hold a Master's degree in Nursing or higher and possess current Texas Board of Nursing authorization as an Advanced Practice RN. Completion of an accredited Advanced Practice Education Program and American Heart Association life support certification are also required.
JOB SUMMARY To promote, provide and maintain patient care in association with collaborating/ delegating physician(s) and in partnership with a multi-disciplinary healthcare team; consistent with Texas Board of Nursing authorization for clinical practice area and patient population. This position is designed as a balanced 50/50 role, allocating 50%25 effort to direct outpatient management and 50%25 to managing provider inboxes for a panel of 2-3 physicians, ensuring continuity of care and timely communication.

Required Education Master's Degree in Nursing or Higher degree in nursing and Documentation of completion of accredited Advanced Practice Education Program and Graduate education and related Texas Board of Nursing authorization must be consistent with clinical practice area and patient population. Licenses and Certifications (APRN) Advanced Practice RN by Texas State Board of Nursing Upon Hire and Authorization for prescriptive authority by the Texas Board of Nursing Upon Hire and Current applicable American Heart Association Life Support certification(s) based on UT Southwestern policy for Advanced Practice Providers Upon Hire Preferred Experience 1 year relevant clinical experience.
