  • DUTIES: With physician orders, performs high quality diagnostic echocardiography on adult patients under both National and AHI guidelines. Completes technologist impression of study, often in written form. Evaluation, coordination, and supervision of technical proficiency shall be provided by the physicians.

  • FUNCTIONS: Must have strong knowledge of cardiac anatomy, terminology and disease processes. Must have a high level of analytical ability to obtain appropriate images and required measurements per ASE guidelines. Must have ability to work both autonomously as well as with a team Maintains patient confidentiality

  • RANGE: $35-53/hr to start (dependent upon experience and education)

  • Minimum: Graduate of AMA approved school of Cardiac Echocardiography.

Experience

  • Minimum One year as a primary or assistant cardiac Echocardiographer.
  • Certificate/License: Completion of Registry by the American Registry of Diagnostic Medical Sonographers or Cardiovascular Credentialing International, current CPR certification.

Requirements

Requires graduation from an AMA-approved school of Cardiac Echocardiography and at least one year of experience as a cardiac sonographer. Must hold current registry certification from ARDMS or CCI and maintain current CPR certification.
