The Outpatient Therapist provides individual and family counseling while maintaining clinical files and ensuring all documentation meets Medicaid and state standards. Responsibilities include facilitating group therapy, managing caseloads, and completing assessments and treatment plans within strict timeframes.
Requirements summary
Candidates must hold a Master’s degree in Marriage and Family Therapy, Mental Health Counseling, or Social Work. Additionally, applicants are required to have Registered intern status in the state of Florida and at least one year of experience working with individuals with severe emotional disturbances or co-occurring disorders.
To provide individual and family therapy for children, adults and their families according to intervention strategies approved by Agape Network and Medicaid.
Essential
Duties: and Responsibilities:
1.
Maintain clinical files by filing paperwork no less than bi-weekly and ensuring that all paperwork is completed in a timely fashion.
2.
Provide individual counseling to assigned caseload on a weekly basis.
3.
Facilitate group therapy sessions if and when deemed necessary.
4.
Complete all clinical assessments and paperwork such as Biopsychosocial, Master Treatment Plans, Treatment Plan reviews, and ancillary documentation within 48 hours of contact with clients.
Complete prior authorizations for all clients prior to administering clinical services.
Resubmit prior authorizations prior to the date requested by the insurance companies.

Complete progress notes within 48 hours of face-to-face contact.
8.
Submit progress notes every 48 hours from the date services are rendered.
9.
Monitor and track units approved by the insurance company.
10.
Attend monthly meetings when deemed necessary 11.
When appropriate renew state license and registered intern status with the Department of Health.
12.
Comply with AHCA stipulations for TBOS and individual therapists.
13.
Ensure that Medicaid is active, and the insurance provided has not changed at the beginning of each month.
14.
Maintain a valid Florida Driver’s License and car insurance.
15.
Be a facilitator between the Agape Staff and client.
16.
Maintain productivity at 85% of caseload.
17.
Attend supervision weekly, biweekly, monthly contingent on recommendation from Lead Therapist to no less than 1 time per month.
18.
Complete compliance training as needed to comply with licensure and DCF licensing (Relias Training) 19.
Check email communication daily.
20.
Perform other duties assigned by Outpatient Lead Therapist, Outpatient Therapist Supervisor and others.
Qualifications

Master’s degree in Marriage and Family Therapy, Mental Health Counseling, or Social Work, plus one-year experience working with severely emotionally disturbed individuals served or individuals with co-occurring disorders. Must have Registered intern status in the state of Florida in Mental Health/Social Work/ or Marriage and Family Counseling. Computer skills are essential.
