The Coder is responsible for performing chart reviews and assigning accurate medical codes for inpatient and outpatient hospital services. They must ensure documentation supports assigned codes while maintaining compliance with federal and state healthcare regulations.
Candidates must hold an Associate Degree and possess 1-3 years of relevant coding experience. Required certifications include CCS, RHIT, RHIA, or CPC, along with strong knowledge of ICD-10-CM, PCS, and CPT/HCPCS coding systems.
