The Registered Nurse is responsible for assessing patient needs and providing continuous care through collaboration with the healthcare team. They must implement goal-directed care plans and perform efficiently during emergency situations following established protocols.
Candidates must hold a degree from an accredited nursing program and a current Texas Registered Nurse license. A minimum of three years of experience in an acute care hospital Emergency Room is required, along with current ACLS, BLS, and PALS certifications.
To act as patient advocate, providing continuity of care designed to meet individual patient needs through collaboration with other members of the healthcare team and supporting the philosophy, objectives and goals of the facility. The Registered Nurse is responsible for assessing the needs of individual patients including but not limited to adult, pediatric, adolescent, and geriatric patients.
Category I exposure to blood borne pathogens, frequent exposure to chemical hazards and may encounter radiation hazards.
