The Speech Language Pathologist will screen, evaluate, and treat patients while developing measurable goals to improve their functional independence. They are also responsible for supervising clinical fellows, interns, and rehabilitation technicians in accordance with state practice acts.
Candidates must hold a Certificate of Clinical Competence from ASHA or be completing a Clinical Fellowship with appropriate supervision. A current state license in the state of practice is required along with strong professional communication skills.
Competitive Pay for FT starting at $41/hour 401k with match Medical, Dental, Vision Paid Time Off Tuition Reimbursement Free CEU’s QualificationsEssential Functions: Screens, evaluates, and treats Patients Completes a comprehensive evaluation using appropriate evaluation and assessment tools and procedures Reviews patient records for current diagnoses, past medical history, precautions and contraindications Establishes measurable goals and develops treatment plan to move the patient toward his or her maximum level of independence and/or function Supervises CFYs, speech Interns and rehab techs in direct patient care and patient-related activities in accordance with state practice act Qualifications: Certificate of Clinical Competence from the American Speech, Language and Hearing Association A Speech-Language Pathologist completing Clinical Fellowship (CF) with appropriate supervision from a certified and licensed SLP Current state license in the state of practice Must have good communication skills and be able to relate professionally and positively to patients, patients’ family members, and staff Must be capable of performing the responsibilities of this job, with or without reasonable accommodations.
