The role involves performing patient assessments, general respiratory care, and critical care procedures in adult care areas. Additionally, the respiratory therapist is responsible for blood gas analysis, equipment management, and patient education.
Candidates must hold an Associate Degree in Respiratory Therapy Sciences and be credentialed as a Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) by the NBRC. Current BCLS and ACLS certifications are required, along with licensure by the State of Georgia.
