Purpose
to assist in the care of the residents through the performance of direct and indirect activities of daily living, following the resident’s care plan, and distribute and administer medications as appropriate.
Essential Functions- Job Duties
The following duties are considered essential to the job. Qualified individuals must have the ability, with or without reasonable accommodation, to perform the following duties:
Prepare and administer each resident’s medication per resident’s service plan and licensed healthcare professional orders.
Provide any prescribed treatment to residents
Document all medication passes, and treatments provided
Communicate with Pharmacy for medication changes, refills, missing medications, etc.
Communicate with all outside agencies as needed and when they visit the home
Provide support in all areas of daily living as needed by individuals, this may include lifting individuals, assisting in transferring, or moving wheelchairs
Support individuals in obtaining the best quality of life possible

Perform other duties as directed by the Executive Director, Director of Wellness, and House Manager.
Education & Knowledge Requirements- Specific education, certification, and licensure:
High School Diploma or equivalent, highly preferred
Med Techs must be a minimum of 18 years of age.
CNA or MA preferred
Essential Job-Related Experience/Abilities
Ability to complete the necessary physical movements to move residents by wheelchair
Ability to read, write, speak, and understand the English language
Ability to walk continuously, bend frequently, and sit occasionally
Ability to lift to fifty (50) pounds occasionally (1-33% of workday)
Ability to complete and maintain documentation regarding a resident’s status
