Assists physicians in the performance of invasive cardiac procedures and provides direct or indirect cardiovascular clinical care. Maintains thorough knowledge of all Cath Lab equipment and ensures its proper operation.
Requires graduation from an RN, RCIS, or RCES program and at least 2 years of Cath Lab Tech experience. Must hold relevant state licensure and certifications including BCLS and ACLS.
RESPONSIBLE FOR:Performs necessary duties in scrub role. Takes on greater responsibility in providing patient care demonstrating a higher level critical thinking and problem solving skills. Functions in partnership with licensed staff. Performs patient care duties for clients of various age groups under the direction of a registered nurse.
MINIMUM EDUCATION REQUIRED:High School graduate or GED.Graduate of a Surgical Technology program. MINIMUM EXPERIENCE REQUIRED:Certification as a Surgical Technologist or 3 years of surgical tech experience required. MINIMUM LICENSURE/CERTIFICATION REQUIRED BY LAW:N/A ADDITIONAL QUALIFICATIONS:Certification as a Surgical Technologist preferredBLS certification required. Business
