The Radiation Therapist performs a wide range of radiation oncology procedures for in-patients and out-patients as prescribed by the Radiation Oncologist. They are also responsible for patient education, equipment maintenance, and adhering to safety standards like the ALARA principle.

The Radiation Therapist performs an extensive range of Radiation Oncology procedures on in-patients and out-patients.
Procedures are performed as prescribed by the Radiation Oncologist and according to established practices and standards.
Radiation Therapist will cover a rotational call schedule, as well as morning warm up.
Complies with the ALARA principle.
Provides patient/ family education related to Radiation Oncology.
Ensures patients confidentiality.
Maintains equipment and supplies.
Models professionalism and teamwork.
Performs all other duties as assigned by Supervisor and/ or Operations Manager.
Must be Registered Radiation Therapist by the ARRT. SCRQSA - State licensing required; must meet continuing education requirements.
