Provide patient care support within the surgical tower and resource pool across various shifts. Act as a role model and preceptor for students and peers while participating in special projects or inservices.
Days and shifts as needed
Special Qualifications High School graduate or equivalent.
Current S.C Nurse Aide Certification OR passed fundamentals in RN/LPN school OR completed Surg Tech or EMT course OR completed 2 year Health Science Technology Program OR completed Patient Care Tech course (with CNA certification).
BLS certified.
If PCT II: worked in at least 2 units independently; delivered one inservice or participated in one special project; was a positive role model for students/peers; was a preceptor if needed.
If PCT III: worked in at least 3 units independently or covered 2+ roles; delivered/participated in two inservices and/or special projects; was a positive role model for students/peers; was a preceptor.
Requires a high school diploma and a valid S.C. Nurse Aide Certification, EMT, or completion of a relevant health science program. Must be BLS certified and have experience working independently in multiple units for the PCT II level.
