The Laboratory Technician performs diagnostic procedures under the guidance of a Laboratory Technologist. They work efficiently to support clinical operations while exercising limited independent judgment.
Candidates must hold a Florida License as a Laboratory Clinical Technician and have completed an approved medical technician training program. An Associate Degree in Medical Laboratory Science is preferred.

A Laboratory Technician works closely and with the advice of a Laboratory Technologist in the performance of diagnostic procedures. Procedures are performed as efficiently and expeditiously as possible. Laboratory Technicians may exercise limited independent judgment and work under the supervision of a Laboratory Technologist, Supervisor or Director
