The Physical Therapy Assistant provides and administers physical therapy treatments under the supervision of a staff Physical Therapist. They are also responsible for documenting patient data, modifying treatment plans, and assisting with patient charges.
Candidates must hold a degree from an accredited Physical Therapy Assistant program and possess a current Florida license. A current BLS certification is required, and at least one year of full-time experience is preferred.

Under the direction of the Director of Rehab Services, the staff Physical Therapy Assistant is responsible for the provision and administration of selected physical therapy treatments under the supervision and direction of the staff Physical Therapist. The Physical Therapy Assistant documents and obtains data related to the interventions provided and makes modifications to progress patients’ treatments as directed by the staff Physical Therapist. The Physical Therapy Assistant assists with posting patient charges following each treatment. This position participates in all infection control, departmental equipment training, organizational safety, and fire safety programs.
