At Appalachian Community Services, we are looking for compassionate and skilled Part-time Licensed Practical Nurses (LPN) to join our Behavioral Health Urgent Care (BHUC) team. As a BHUC LPN, you will provide essential crisis care, assist individuals through critical moments, and deliver client-centered, solution-focused nursing support. • BHUC
• LPN, you will: Conduct telephonic screenings to assess appropriateness for admission. Perform nursing screenings upon arrival, including pregnancy tests, urine drug screens, and breathalyzers. Collaborate with prescribers to review clinical information and determine medication needs or alternative care options. Prepare, administer, and monitor prescribed medications. Provide ongoing medical oversight throughout an individual’s stay. The above statements describe the general nature and level of work being performed by individuals assigned to this classification. • QualificationsMinimum
• Requirements: Graduated from an Approved Nursing Program Active LPN Licensure through the North Carolina Board of Nursing.
