Registered Dental Hygienist

About the Role

• As a Registered Dental Hygienist, you will play a critical role in promoting oral health and preventing dental diseases within our patient community.
• Your primary focus will be to provide comprehensive dental hygiene care, including cleaning teeth, examining patients for signs of oral diseases, and educating patients on proper oral hygiene techniques.
• You will collaborate closely with dentists and other dental professionals to develop and implement individualized treatment plans that enhance patient outcomes.
• This role requires a compassionate approach to patient care, ensuring comfort and trust while delivering high-quality clinical services.
• Ultimately, your work will contribute significantly to improving patients' overall health and well-being through effective dental hygiene practices.
• We are a busy but fun office and we treat our patients like family.
• Days are Tuesday and Wednesday 8 to 5 with an hour lunch.

Minimum Qualifications

• Valid and current Registered Dental Hygienist (RDH) license in the State of Wa.
• Completion of an accredited dental hygiene program.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
• Strong knowledge of dental anatomy, oral pathology, and dental hygiene techniques.
• Excellent communication skills to effectively educate and interact with patients.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience working in a dental office or clinical setting.
• Familiarity with Dentrix, Eaglesoft, preferred
• Spanish speaking is a plus

Responsibilities

• Perform thorough dental cleanings, including scaling and polishing teeth to remove plaque and tartar.
• Conduct oral health assessments by examining patients for signs of gum disease, cavities, and other oral conditions.
• Take and develop dental radiographs (X-rays) to assist in diagnosis and treatment planning.
• Educate patients on oral hygiene techniques, preventive care, and the importance of maintaining regular dental visits.
