Job Description

Reporting to the Director, Primary Health Care Teams and in collaboration with physicians and health care provider team members, the Registered Nurse (Nurse Practitioner) will provide Primary Health Care (PHC) services to assigned populations which may include: urban populations, visiting services to rural communities, and/or priority populations (e.g. newcomers, teens) as determined by community and program needs. Depending on community and team requirements, the position may include first on-call support. Primary Health Care services include: health assessment, health promotion and education, disease and injury prevention and assessment, treatment interventions; collaboration with, and referral to, other health care providers; participation in Lean, patient safety, community development, clinical practice redesign, quality improvement, and evaluation.

Human Resources Exemption: No

Experience Experience as RN (NP) in a Primary Health Care setting preferred. Three (3) years experience working as a Registered Nurse Education Master of Nursing - Nurse Practitioner (MN-NP) Licenses Valid Class 5 driver's license Other Education and Training Certification in Primary Care Nurse Practitioner or equivalent program required Advanced Cardiac Life Support Certificate (ACLS) Basic Life Support Level C Certificate (BLS-C) Competencies Computer skills Interpersonal skills Communication skills Knowledge and Abilities Knowledge and skill in quality improvement and patient safety Knowledge in health promotion and prevention strategies Knowledge in community development Demonstrates leadership abilities Knowledge in chronic disease prevention and management Other Information For more information on the city of Moose Jaw please visit https://moosejaw.ca/ May be eligible for Recruitment and/or Retention Incentives Registered/eligible for registration with the CRNS as RN (NP) Additional Comment No guaranteed hours. Requirements

Candidates must hold a Master of Nursing - Nurse Practitioner degree and possess at least three years of experience as a Registered Nurse. Required certifications include Primary Care Nurse Practitioner certification, ACLS, and BLS-C, along with a valid Class 5 driver's license.
