The Aerodigestive Navigator coordinates care for pediatric patients with complex airway, pulmonary, and gastrointestinal needs. The role focuses on ensuring seamless transitions across multidisciplinary services and maintaining strong communication between families and healthcare partners.
Candidates must have a Bachelor's degree in nursing, 3-5 years of pediatric nursing experience, and current Illinois licensure along with BLS and PALS certifications. A Master's degree and experience in ENT or Critical Care are preferred.
The Aerodigestive Navigator serves as the primary coordinator of care for pediatric patients with complex airway, pulmonary, gastrointestinal, and otolaryngology needs. This role combines clinical expertise with care navigation to support children and families and to optimize outcomes for children with complex airway disorders. The Aerodigestive Navigator ensures timely, seamless, and safe transitions across multidisciplinary services, while promoting strong communication between families, the aerodigestive team, and external healthcare partners. With a focus on family-centered care, the Aerodigestive Navigator plays a key role in optimizing outcomes for children with complex aerodigestive conditions.
Education: Master’s degree in Nursing or related field preferred Experience: Prior experience in ENT, Pulmonology, Critical Care, or Aerodigestive specialty.
