Under supervision, this role performs diagnostic and therapeutic nuclear medicine procedures requiring independent judgment, including administering isotope dosages and ensuring patient safety and comfort during examinations. The technician is also responsible for data entry, image quality assurance, maintaining equipment, and participating in departmental workflow coordination.
Candidates must possess a High School Diploma or GED and have completed an accredited Radiography program or US military training, along with 10 months of clinical Nuclear Medicine experience or successful program completion. Required credentials include CNMT certification, an AZ State CNMT license, ARRT or NMTCB certification, and current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
