The respiratory therapist is responsible for providing respiratory care services according to physician orders and department policies. This includes administering treatments, monitoring equipment, and performing arterial punctures for blood gas analysis.
Candidates must have current state respiratory therapist licensure and be a graduate of an AMA-approved school of respiratory therapy. Preferred qualifications include experience in a level 3 NICU or greater and certifications in BLS, ACLS, PALS, and NRP.
