The Registered Nurse provides skilled nursing care during preoperative, postoperative, and intraoperative periods. They are responsible for patient assessment, surveillance, and ensuring timely administration of physician's orders.
Candidates must be graduates of an accredited nursing school and hold current state licensure. Experience in postoperative or critical care is preferred, along with ACLS and IV certifications.
Provides planned, skilled nursing care for patients in the preoperative, postoperative, and intraoperative periods. Provides assessment, patient surveillance, and timely administration of physician’s orders to prepare patients for procedures. Provides continuous patient surveillance for early recognition and immediate emergency treatment of medical or surgical complications that may arise in any postoperative patient. Determine that the patient is suitable for discharge. Provides patient and family member with an additional opportunity for education and review of the postoperative instructions.
Graduate of accredited school of nursing required, current state licensure required. Experience in postoperative or critical care area preferred; will be ACLS certified and IV certified.
Work schedule: PRN, 10 hour days
