Operate computerized tomography equipment to produce high-quality diagnostic scans by selecting appropriate technical factors based on patient characteristics. Collaborate with radiologists and the care team to administer contrast and ensure proper radiation protection for patients.
Completed formal radiologic technology training at an AMA approved school or a school that is accredited through the Higher Learning Commission (HLC). Must be registered by the ARRT and be CT registered. If CT registry eligible, must pass registry within one year of accepting the position. If performing in more than one modality and registry eligible, must pass registry within one year of accepting additional responsibilities.
