The MRI Technologist performs required MRI procedures according to departmental protocols, accurately entering patient data into computer systems and ensuring optimal quality images are transmitted to the PACS system. They must also obtain adequate patient history and provide superior customer service to patients and the healthcare team.
Candidates must complete a 2-year associate's degree program in Radiology and possess the required ARRT registry, with a two-year grace period allowed for non-certified hires to pass the MRI Registry exam. Two years of experience as an MRI Technologist and familiarity with Siemens products are preferred.
Completion of ARRT registry required. (Successful completion of the MRI Registry exam is a job requirement. A technologist who is recruited and non-certified in MRI will have a grace period of 2 years following hire to pass this exam).
