  • Gastroenterologist Role: Gastroenterologist Location: Miami, South Florida Practice: Florida Physician Group / Palmetto General Hospital Position Overview Palmetto General Hospital–Florida Physician Group, a member of HSA Hospitals (Hospital Systems of America), is seeking a Gastroenterologist to join our growing digestive health services program at the hospital in South Florida. This is an excellent opportunity to become part of a collaborative, high-quality medical team within a well-established hospital setting, offering a strong commitment to patient-centered care, clinical excellence, and physician support. Job Summary The Gastroenterologist is a board-certified physician specializing in the diagnosis, treatment, and prevention of diseases affecting the digestive system. This role provides comprehensive care for disorders of the gastrointestinal tract, liver, pancreas, and biliary system, including the performance of diagnostic and therapeutic endoscopic procedures. Key Responsibilities
  • Diagnose and treat disorders of the gastrointestinal tract, liver, pancreas, and biliary system
  • Perform diagnostic and therapeutic procedures including colonoscopy and upper endoscopy
  • Interpret laboratory results, imaging studies, and pathology reports
  • Develop individualized treatment plans and provide preventive care
  • Collaborate with primary care providers and other specialists
  • Maintain accurate and timely medical documentation
  • Adhere to clinical standards, policies, and regulatory requirements

Qualifications

  • MD or DO degree from an accredited medical school
  • Completion of an Internal Medicine residency
  • Completion of an accredited Gastroenterology fellowship
  • Board certified or board eligible in Gastroenterology
