The sonographer performs diagnostic ultrasound imaging procedures and provides direct patient care across all age groups. They are responsible for maintaining regulatory requirements, operating radiology information systems, and assisting in the interpretation of images by licensed practitioners.
Candidates must be certified by the American Registry for Diagnostic Medical Sonographers (ARDMS) and hold a Basic Life Support (BLS) certification. Proficiency in medical necessity documentation and aseptic techniques is required for this role.
