The Dental Hygiene Assistant will prepare treatment rooms, ensure proper sterilization, and assist dental hygienists during patient procedures. They are also responsible for updating patient health records, exposing radiographs, and educating patients on preventive oral care.
Candidates must have a high school diploma or GED and at least one year of hands-on dental assisting experience. A radiology certification is required, and an associate degree or certification in dental assisting is preferred.

Prepare and set up treatment rooms, ensuring cleanliness and proper sterilization Assist Dental Hygienists during patient treatment progress Update patient health history and chart treatment progress Expose and develop radiographs (if certified) Educate patients on proper oral hygiene and preventive care Cordinate with clinical staff to manage inventory and sterilization of dental instruments Support the hygienist with patient scheduling and treatment recommendations and office recall systems Perform routine tasks while ensuring compliance with the industry regulations including HIPAA & OSHA
