Requires a high school diploma or GED, basic EMR and Microsoft Office knowledge, and BLS certification. An associate's degree, medical assistant certification (CMA/RMA), and prior clinic experience are preferred.
The Medical Assistant Non-Certified provides superior patient care and performs administrative and delegated clinical tasks that support patients in a clinic-based environment as part of a care team led by the physician and/or advanced practice provider.
