The Physical Therapist is responsible for conducting patient examinations, establishing diagnoses, and implementing customized plans of care. They must provide interventions, measure outcomes, and collaborate with other healthcare professionals to ensure quality patient care.
Candidates must hold a Bachelor's, Master's, or Doctorate in Physical Therapy and possess a current Texas state license. BLS certification is required within 14 days of hire, with previous acute care experience preferred.
Provide and document examinations and evaluations Establish functional PT diagnosis, prognoses and plans of care Formulate treatment goals Provide physical therapy intervention to patients Measure and report outcomes Formulate and carry out discharge plans Supervise licensed and non-licensed assigned staff or students Interact and practice in collaboration with other professionals Individuals must comply with the Texas Physical Therapy Practice Acts and Rules
Job Requirements Bachelor’s, Master’s, or Doctorate in Physical Therapy from an accredited program. Current Texas state licensure as a Physical Therapist. BLS certification must be obtained within 14 days of hire or transfer into the role and prior to providing direct patient care. Preferred Job Requirements Previous acute care or clinic experience.
