The Rehabilitation CNA provides hands-on support to patients recovering from surgery, injury, or illness by assisting with daily living activities and rehabilitation exercises. They also monitor patient conditions and report changes to the nursing staff to ensure timely intervention.
Candidates must hold a current Certified Nursing Assistant certificate and a current BLS (AHA) certification. Proficiency in medical terminology is also required for this role.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities (includes, but not limited to): Assist patients with daily living activities such as bathing, dressing, grooming, toileting, and feeding while promoting dignity and independence Support mobility and rehabilitation exercises under therapist guidance to improve strength, balance, and coordination safely Monitor and promptly report changes in patients’ physical and emotional conditions to nursing staff for timely intervention Maintain a safe, clean, and comfortable environment by organizing patient areas and removing hazards to prevent injury and infection Assist with positioning and transferring patients using safe techniques to prevent pressure ulcers and promote circulation Encourage and motivate patients to actively participate in their rehabilitation programs by providing emotional support and positive reinforcement

Possesses knowledge of Medical Terminology.
