The Vocational Specialist will provide individualized vocational assessment and service planning to help clients with serious mental illness obtain and maintain employment. They will also collaborate with the multidisciplinary ACT team to integrate employment services with mental health treatment and provide community-based outreach.
Candidates should have a bachelor's degree in a related field and 1-2 years of experience in vocational services or behavioral health. A valid driver's license and reliable transportation are required for this community-based role.
Bachelor’s degree in Rehabilitation Counseling, Social Work, Psychology, or a related field preferred (Master's preferred) Minimum of 1–2 years of experience in vocational services, supported employment, or behavioral health Knowledge of supported employment models (e.g., Individual Placement and Support – IPS) preferred Strong interpersonal, networking, and organizational skills Ability to engage clients and employers effectively Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation required
Experience working in ACT or other community-based behavioral health programs Bilingual skills are a plus Familiarity with electronic health records (EHR) systems
