Under the direct supervision of a registered pharmacist, compounds and dispenses medical prescriptions.
May be expected to perform some clerical duties relating to the department.
Receives and stores incoming supplies.
Verifies stock and enters data in computer to maintain inventory records.
The Pharmacy Technician is to aid in the filling of Pyxis machines, assists with inventory control, enters charges for inpatients in the computer system, prepares IV admixtures as required, and assists the Pharmacist as needed.
Relies on experience and judgment to plan and accomplish goals.
Performs a variety of complicated tasks.
All other duties as assigned.
$21.34 - $26.67 (depending on experience)**
Candidates must have a high school diploma and completion of a certified pharmacy technician training program. A Nevada Certified Pharmacy Technician license is required, and hospital pharmacy experience is strongly desired.
