The Echo Tech is responsible for conducting cardiac ultrasounds on adult and pediatric patients using various imaging techniques. They must also evaluate clinical data and report life-threatening findings to physicians in a timely manner.
Candidates must hold an associate degree or higher and possess a valid RDCS or RCS certification. A BLS certification is required, and the role is open to new graduates.
Echo Tech (RDCS, RCS) Job Summary Will be responsible for conducting cardiac ultrasounds on both adult and pediatric patients utilizing 2D/3D echocardiography, m-mode, color flow/doppler mapping, stress echocardiography, UEA imaging, Global Strain Analysis, TEE and structural heart assist when appropriate. Will be responsible for collecting and evaluating clinical data and recognizing life-threatening findings and reporting, in a timely manner, to the appropriate reading physicians. On a rotating basis, is responsible for all on-call duties. All functions of this role shall be performed within the guidelines of department, ICAEL and hospital policies.
