The MRI Technologist performs routine and advanced MRI procedures to produce high-quality diagnostic images while ensuring patient safety and comfort. They are also responsible for maintaining equipment, documenting exams in the EMR, and providing on-call coverage for the radiology department.
Candidates must hold an A.A.S. in Radiologic Technology or a hospital certificate and possess a valid NYS license. Additional requirements include obtaining ARRT-R, NYS Injection, and BLS certifications within six months of hire.
Magnetic Resonance Imaging experience. ARRT Magnetic Resonance Imaging Certification. Proficiency in Microsoft Office products and ability to work with various software applications. Excellent customer service and communication skills. EDUCATION: LICENSES / CERTIFICATIONS: RT(R) - Registered Radiologic Technologist - New York State Education Department (NYSED)New York State Education Department (NYSED) PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS: M - Medium Work - Exerting 20 to 50 pounds of force occasionally, and/or 10 to 25 pounds of force frequently, and/or greater than negligible up to 10 pounds of force constantly to move objects; Requires frequent walking, standing or squatting. PAY RANGE: $34.25 - $45.25 CITY: Newark POSTAL CODE: 14513 The listed base pay range is a good faith representation of current potential base pay for a successful full time applicant. It may be modified in the future and eligible for additional pay components.
