Performs a variety of diagnostic ultrasound procedures on patients while utilizing independent judgment and initiative. Collaborates with physicians and healthcare teams to coordinate patient care, monitor conditions, and provide necessary patient education.
Requires an associate's degree and 2-3 years of experience in MFM sonography. Must hold RDMS and ARRT (S) certifications, with BLS certification and the ability to work in-person.
ENTRY LEVEL MFM SONOGRAPHER Associate’s degree from an accredited institution in a field of study related to the work assignment 2-3 years of ultrasound technician experience within MFM specialty ECHO CARDIO CERTIFIED MFM SONOGRAPHER: Associate’s degree from an accredited institution in a field of study related to the work assignment 2-3 years of ultrasound technician experience within MFM specialty Cardiac Echocardiography certification A combination of education and related technical/paraprofessional experience may be substituted a year for year basis. Applicants must be legally authorized to work in the United States without requiring sponsorship. We are unable to provide work visa sponsorship or employment authorization for this position now or in the future.
4+ years of ultrasound technician experience in an outpatient setting within MFM specialty Fetal Echo certified Epic, Kronos, and HealthStream Experience Bilingual, Spanish-speaking
Fetal Echo Training within 12 months of hire Registered as a Diagnostic Medical Sonographer (RDMS) Registered as a Technologist (RT) and certified in Sonography (S) by the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT). State licensure if required by law Current Basic Life Support (BLS) for Healthcare Providers issued by American Heart Association or American Red Cross healthcare provider level CPR certification Must be able to work in-person Must be able to travel/cover to alternate locations as assigned Maintains all required licensure and certifications for position Maintains all required continuing education requirements
Ability to effectively communicate at all levels, to include physicians, leadership, and staff within the various affiliate organizations (UCH, Children’s Colorado, CU Medicine, CU SOM) Ability to work within large, complex healthcare systems Ability to analyze and interpret data Ability to compile complex reports and develop presentations Ability to compose letters and memorandums Ability to deal calmly and courteously with people Ability to deal with stressful situations Ability to finish tasks in a timely manner
