The Radiology Technologist is responsible for positioning patients, operating imaging equipment, and administering contrast agents to produce high-quality radiographs. They also ensure patient safety during transport and maintain compliance with radiation protection protocols.

Demonstrates knowledge of the principles of growth and development over the life span and can identify each patient's requirements relative to his/her age-specific needs.
Positions patients to produce a radiograph as prescribed by a qualified physician.
Provides immobilization devices as required.
Adjusts controls of equipment as needed to produce a radiograph as prescribed by a qualified physician.
Administers drugs or chemical mixtures orally or as enemas to render organs opaque.
Provides radiation protection as needed per exam.
Processes films by either automatic or hand processing.
Transports patients to and from patients waiting area and/or patient rooms assuming responsibility for their safety.
High school graduate or equivalent and satisfactory completion of a formal radiological technology training program in an AMA approved school.
Certification through the National registry American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT).
Current BLS Certification required.
Current Washington State Certification is required
