The Licensed Practical Nurse administers direct patient care and collaborates with the interdisciplinary team to support patient health. They are responsible for observing, evaluating, and documenting patient outcomes while providing education to patients and their families.
Candidates must be graduates of a nursing program and hold a current Pennsylvania LPN license with basic life support certification. Completion of an IV start class is required, and one year of medical-surgical experience is preferred.
Job Summary The LPN/GPN administers direct patient care to assigned patients under the direction and supervision of a GN/RN. Works collaboratively with all members of the patient interdisciplinary care team. Participates in the care and teaching of the patient. The LPN/GPN observes, evaluates, records, and contributes information to aid the RN/GN in developing the patient plan of care based on age-specific criteria and current patient health care needs.
