The Mohs Medical Assistant supports providers by assisting with surgical procedures, including skin cancer removal and instrument preparation. They also manage administrative duties such as EMR documentation, patient scheduling, and providing pre- and post-operative education.
Candidates should have 2+ years of medical assistant experience and hold a certification in Medical Assisting or be a Licensed Practical Nurse. Strong communication skills, clinical accuracy, and the ability to travel to multiple clinic locations are required.

Apex Skin is a physician-led and rapidly growing dermatology practice committed to delivering exceptional patient experiences. We are seeking a talented and motivated Mohs Surgery Medical Assistant to support our providers with both clinical and administrative tasks in a surgery setting. This role includes assisting with surgical procedures involving the removal of skin cancers and other skin tumors, as well as administrative tasks like documenting in the EMR as a clinical scribe, supporting patient education, and performing front office duties as needed. Ideal candidates are certified in Medical Assisting, and demonstrate strong communication skills, clinical accuracy, attention to detail, and the ability to thrive in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment.
This is a full-time, hourly position and will require travel to the following Apex Skin locations: Ashtabula, Mayfield Heights, Hudson, and Concord.
