The Hospice Nurse Practitioner provides palliative care consultations, manages symptoms, and coordinates care plans for hospice patients. They conduct face-to-face visits, document clinical findings, and collaborate with the interdisciplinary team and physicians.
Candidates must hold an active, unrestricted Nurse Practitioner or Clinical Nurse Specialist license and certification from a national body like ANCC or AANP. A minimum of 5 years of nursing experience and a valid driver's license are required.
Active unrestricted license in the state of residence Current certification as a clinical Nurse Specialist or Nurse Practitioner in the state of practice Current certification by a national body such as ANCC, NBCHPN, or AANP Current CPR certification 5+ years of nursing experience Current driver's license and vehicle insurance, access to a dependable vehicle or public transportation.
Clinical nursing care in oncology, hospice, geriatrics, or intensive care Palliative Care ARNP Experience working with an interdisciplinary team Compensation for this specialty generally ranges from $109,500 to $164,000. Total cash compensation includes base pay and bonus and is based on several factors including but not limited to local labor markets, education, work experience and may increase over time based on productivity and performance in the role.
