The Licensed Practical Nurse performs multi-skilled activities to support a patient-centered approach to care under the supervision of a Registered Nurse. Responsibilities include assisting in patient examinations, measuring vital signs, and maintaining accurate medical records.
Candidates must be graduates of an accredited Practical Nurse program with at least six months of patient care experience. A current South Carolina or compact state LPN license and BLS certification are required.

The Certified Medical Assistant reports to the Outpatient Clinic Manager. Under the direct supervision of a Registered Nurse, the Certified Medical Assistant performs multi-skilled activities to support a decentralized patient-centered approach to patient care and achieve desired outcomes. Assists in examination and treatment of patients under the direction of a physician. Interviews patients, measures vital signs (i.e., pulse rate, temperature, blood pressure, weight, and height), and records or inputs information to patients' medical record. Prepares treatment rooms for examination of patients. CMA Minimum Training and Education: High school diploma or equivalent. Completion of an accredited medical assisting program with one year of patient care experience preferred. CMA Required Licensure and/or Certifications (One Required): American Medical Technologist (AMT) American Association of Medical Assistants (AAMA) National Health career Association (NHA) MedCA as a Certified Clinical & Administrative Medical Assistant (MA1) National Association for Health Professionals (NAHP), National Center for Competency Testing (NCCT).
