Performs computed tomography procedures and produces sectional and 3D images for interpretation by licensed practitioners. Ensures all services are conducted in a safe environment following established regulatory guidelines.
Requires an Associate Degree in Radiology or graduation from an accredited two-year radiology program. Must hold current ARRT registration in Radiography and maintain valid state licensure.
Description Join an energetic, patient-focused team! MedStar Radiology Network is currently seeking an experienced CT Tech for a Part-time Flex position at our outpatient imaging center located in Chevy Chase, Maryland. Three days a week from 9:30 AM to 6:00 PM.
EXPERIENCE: Up to 2 years experience as a CT Technologist EDUCATION: Must have a minimum Associates Degree in Radiology or be a graduate of an accredited two-year radiology program. LICENSE/CERTIFICATION REQUIREMENTS:
Must be registered by the American Registry of Radiologic Technologist (ARRT) in Radiography and maintain current valid registration from ARRT. CT advanced registration through ARRT is required upon hire for IDTF centers. Non-IDTF centers require CT advanced registry within the first 12 months of employment. Additionally, must meet the state licensure requirement for the state in which they practice.
Skill in operation of CT equipment as well as applicable ancillary equipment. Ability to work independently and multitask. Ability to provide documentation accurately and concisely. Demonstrates understanding of human cross-sectional anatomy, physiology, pathology, radiopharmacology, and medical terminology. Knowledge of computer applications, including information and billing systems, keyboard input, digital archiving, and retrieving of data. Imaging studies are an essential component of preventative care and treatment, and having the best diagnostic equipment possible is a vital step to good preventive health for our patients.
