The Medical Assistant supports clinical staff by performing routine patient care, laboratory tasks, and clerical duties. They are also responsible for monitoring patient flow and maintaining clean, well-stocked examination rooms.
Candidates must have a high school diploma or equivalent and have successfully completed a Clinical Medical Assistant program with a 160-hour externship. Additionally, a current CPR card and COVID-19 vaccination documentation are required.
Assists medical professional staff members by performing routine patient care, laboratory procedures and clerical procedures to support the delivery of patient care Monitors patient flow by assuring that clients are serviced promptly and effectively Prepares examination rooms ensuring that rooms are clean, orderly and properly stocked with supplies for use during exams QualificationsEducation High School Diploma or equivalent, required Successful completion of a Clinical Medical Assistant program required Successful completion of 160-hour MA Externship required Skills and Knowledge Medical Assistant experience preferred Reproductive Health experience is a plus Phlebotomy skills, or desire to learn, strongly preferred Experienced in utilizing a computer, Microsoft Products and EMR preferred Current and active CPR Card, required Strong interpersonal skills and ability to communicate effectively Bilingual language is a plus The Erie Advantage Pledge WORKING TOGETHER FOR WHAT MATTERS MOST Erie makes a pledge that all current and future employees can feel confident that: Our mission, vision, and values unite us.
