The Medical Assistant supports medical and nursing staff by performing clinical and clerical tasks for patients during outpatient appointments. Responsibilities include collecting patient data, managing registration and scheduling, and performing phlebotomy and cast-related procedures.
Candidates must hold a Medical Assistant certification and Basic Life Support (BLS) certification. A high school diploma and at least one year of relevant experience are preferred.
Collect and report data to assist the multidisciplinary team in the evaluation of patient needs Performs a variety of comprehensive registration and scheduling functions Demonstrate open, accurate and timely communication with patients, families and interdisciplinaryteam members to ensure effective therapeutic interventions This is not an all-inclusive list of this job’s responsibilities.
