The Pharmacy Technician will conduct patient interviews and chart reviews to obtain accurate home medication histories. They are also responsible for verifying patient allergy information and coordinating with pharmacies and physician offices.

Maintain a good working knowledge of common outpatient medication names, doses, and dosage forms.
Prioritize patients to interview with respect to physician request, pharmacist request, nurse request, or acuity of need.
Adapt to changes in workload and schedule to meet patient needs.
Obtain accurate home medication history by chart review, patient interview, and phone calls to retail pharmacies and physician offices if necessary.
Verify patient allergy information and ensures complete documentation with regard to substance, allergy category, reaction description.
You will be asked to register with the State of Nebraska as a Pharmacy Technician prior to your start date.

A conditional job offer is contingent upon successfully passing a pre-employment drug test and background checks. A Physical Capacity Profile may be required for some positions.
Candidates must possess a High School Diploma or equivalent and hold a Certified Pharmacy Technician (CPhT) certification. Applicants must also be eligible for registration as a Pharmacy Technician in the State of Nebraska.
