The surgeon will perform comprehensive cardiothoracic procedures and manage patient care in both pre-operative and post-operative settings. They will also collaborate with multidisciplinary healthcare teams to ensure optimal patient outcomes and maintain accurate medical documentation.
Candidates must hold an MD or DO degree and have completed a residency in Cardiothoracic Surgery. Board certification or eligibility in Cardiothoracic Surgery is required, along with the ability to work in a dynamic, high-acuity clinical environment.

Provide comprehensive surgical care in cardiothoracic procedures Collaborate with healthcare teams to ensure optimal patient outcomes Participate in patient consultations and pre-operative assessments Conduct surgeries and manage post-operative care Maintain accurate patient records and documentation Engage in continuous education and training to enhance surgical skills Assist in the development of patient care protocols Support the recruitment and staffing efforts of the organization
MD or DO degree from an accredited medical school Completion of residency in Cardiothoracic Surgery Board certification or eligibility in Cardiothoracic Surgery Strong communication and interpersonal skills Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment Commitment to providing high-quality patient care Knowledge of current medical practices and technologies Willingness to learn and adapt in a dynamic setting
Schedule: 24-hour call shifts
Facility has 2 CVORs, 20 CVICU beds
CABG, valve surgery (AVR, MVR, TAVR), ECMO, emergent post-PCI, aortic dissections, chest exploration/re-entry/post-operative bleeding management, etc.
Will work closely with the ICU team, cardiology, interventional cardiology, anesthesia, APPs, perfusionists, and OR staff
EMR: Cerner and iMed
Must be board-certified
