Locum MD (Medical Doctor), DO (Osteopathic Doctor) Surgical Oncology

As a Locum Surgical Oncologist, you will play a crucial role in diagnosing and treating patients with various types of cancers. Your expertise will directly impact patient outcomes and you will work closely with a dedicated team of healthcare professionals to deliver exceptional care. This role is vital in maintaining the high standards of our practice and advancing our commitment to comprehensive cancer treatment.

Responsibilities

Conduct thorough assessments and evaluations of patients with cancer Perform surgical procedures related to oncology Develop and implement individualized treatment plans Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to optimize patient care Provide patient education on treatment options and procedures Monitor and manage post-operative care and recovery Participate in tumor board meetings and case discussions Stay current with advancements in surgical oncology techniques and practices

Requirements

MD or DO degree from an accredited medical school Active medical license in the state of Georgia Board certification in Surgical Oncology is preferred Experience in surgical oncology, preferably in a clinical setting Strong surgical skills and proficiency in oncology procedures Excellent communication and interpersonal skills Ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced environment Commitment to patient-centered care and clinical excellence

Flexible schedule

Daily Volume: 20+ patients

Required Cases: Surgical oncology/HPB surgery

Support Staff: Additional MDs and APPs

EMR: Epic

Must be board-certified

Paid travel & expenses
