The Locum MD will perform diagnostic imaging studies, including X-rays, CT scans, and MRIs, while collaborating with healthcare teams to ensure optimal patient care. Responsibilities also include managing patient workflow, responding to urgent callback cases, and maintaining accurate medical documentation.
Candidates must hold an MD degree from an accredited medical school and possess an active medical license in the state of Florence. Completion of a radiology residency and board certification or eligibility are required.
As a Locum MD in Radiology, you will be responsible for delivering high-quality diagnostic imaging services and collaborating with healthcare professionals to ensure optimal patient care. You will play a crucial role in interpreting medical images and contributing to the overall efficiency of our medical team.
Conduct and interpret diagnostic imaging studies, including X-rays, CT scans, and MRIs Collaborate with physicians and healthcare teams to discuss findings and treatment options Maintain accurate and detailed patient records and documentation Ensure compliance with safety and quality standards in all imaging procedures Participate in ongoing education and training to stay current with radiology advancements Assist in developing protocols to enhance imaging services Provide consultations to referring physicians regarding imaging results Manage patient workflow to optimize service delivery
MD degree from an accredited medical school Active medical license to practice in the state of Florence Completion of a residency program in Radiology Strong analytical and problem-solving skills Excellent communication and interpersonal skills Ability to work effectively in a team-oriented environment Commitment to patient-centered care and continuous learning Prior experience in a clinical radiology setting is preferred
Schedule: Monday 7a–Monday 7a, every other week
Monthly Volumes: 100-125 stroke alerts, 25 angiograms, 8-15 interventions, and 5-10 embolizations
Perform cases as needed, respond to urgent/emergent callback cases, answer consults, round on patients, clinic coverage, etc.
Support Staff: APP working a 7 on/7 off schedule, navigator, and stroke coordinator
EMR: Epic
Must be board-certified or board-eligible
