This contract, on-site position provides a unique opportunity to contribute to our Ob/Gyn department in a thriving medical practice environment.
As a Laborist, you will play a crucial role in providing high-quality obstetric and gynecological care to patients. You will work alongside a team of experienced professionals to ensure the best outcomes for mothers and their newborns.
Provide comprehensive obstetric care during labor and delivery Manage patients in the labor and delivery unit Perform necessary medical procedures and interventions Collaborate with nursing staff and other healthcare professionals Participate in patient education and counseling Maintain accurate and thorough medical records Respond to emergencies and manage complications Stay updated with current medical practices and guidelines
MD or DO degree from an accredited medical school Current state medical license in good standing Experience in obstetrics and gynecology preferred Strong clinical skills and decision-making abilities Excellent communication and interpersonal skills Ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced environment Commitment to providing high-quality patient care Basic Life Support (BLS) and Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certification
Schedule: 24-hour call shifts
Annual Volume: ~1,100 births total
Support Staff: Midwife on weekdays
Must be board-certified
