About the role

The anesthesiologist will administer anesthesia for cardiac procedures and monitor patient vital signs throughout surgery. They are also responsible for conducting pre-anesthesia assessments and managing post-anesthesia recovery while collaborating with the surgical team.

This contract position is on-site and offers an excellent opportunity to contribute to critical patient care in a dynamic healthcare environment.

As a Locum Anesthesiologist, you will be responsible for providing anesthesia care for patients undergoing cardiac procedures, ensuring the highest standards of patient safety and comfort. This role is vital to our operations, as you will collaborate with a skilled team of healthcare professionals to deliver exceptional care and improve patient outcomes.

Responsibilities

Administer anesthesia for cardiac procedures and surgeries Monitor patients' vital signs and anesthesia levels during procedures Collaborate with surgical teams to ensure optimal patient care Conduct pre-anesthesia assessments and consultations Manage post-anesthesia recovery for patients Maintain accurate and thorough medical records Provide guidance and support to nursing staff and other healthcare professionals Stay updated on the latest advancements in anesthesiology and cardiac care

Requirements

Valid MD or DO license in the state of practice Board certification in Anesthesiology Experience in cardiac anesthesiology preferred Strong knowledge of anesthesia protocols and patient safety Excellent communication and interpersonal skills Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment Strong problem-solving and critical-thinking abilities Commitment to continuous learning and professional development

Schedule: 6:30a-3:30p

No call requirement

Setting: OR and cath lab

Will practice independently

EMR: Epic

Must be board-certified
