Echocardiogram Technologist

The primary responsibility of the Echocardiogram Technologist is as follows

• Execute all fundamental adult cardiac echocardiogram procedures.
• Edit tracings accurately.
• Measure and input data into the computer system.
• Differentiate between normal and abnormal cardiac findings.
• Perform cardiac sonographer duties to satisfy departmental requirements, including the identification of arrhythmias and the understanding of specific cardiac and related diagnoses to ensure the acquisition of optimal studies.

**Qualifications

• *
• A minimum of an Associate's Degree from an accredited cardiac ultrasound program or an RDCS/RCS eligible background with at least one year of experience in cardiac echocardiography.
• Certification from the American Registry of Diagnostic Medical Sonographers (ARDMS) as a Registered Diagnostic Cardiac Sonographer (RDCS) in Adult Echocardiography or as a Registered Cardiac Sonographer (RCS) in Adult Echocardiography.
• Licensing by the Board of Medical Imaging and Radiation Therapy in the state of New Hampshire.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) Certification.
