Description

This on-site contract position offers a unique opportunity to provide top-tier patient care while working in a collaborative and supportive environment.

As a Locum MD in Hematology Oncology, you will be responsible for diagnosing and treating patients with blood disorders and cancers. This role is pivotal in delivering compassionate care and developing treatment plans tailored to each patient's needs. You'll work closely with our dedicated healthcare team to ensure the highest standards of patient care are met.

Responsibilities

Conduct comprehensive patient assessments and develop treatment plans Administer chemotherapy and other treatment modalities Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams for optimal patient outcomes Monitor patient progress and adjust treatments as necessary Educate patients and families on treatment options and care plans Document patient interactions and maintain accurate medical records Participate in case discussions and clinical meetings Stay informed about advancements in hematology and oncology

Requirements

MD or DO degree from an accredited medical school Completion of residency in Hematology/Oncology Board certification or eligibility in Hematology/Oncology Strong clinical skills and knowledge in oncology treatment protocols Excellent communication and interpersonal skills Ability to work effectively in a team-oriented environment Commitment to providing high-quality patient care Active medical license in the state of Tennessee

Schedule: Monday-Friday, 8-hour shifts

Call Requirement: Overnight call, 2-3 days per week

Setting: Clinic and inpatient rounding

Case Types: Malignant hematology oncology

Support Staff: APPs

Must be board-certified
