Physician - Psychiatry - Inpatient

**Job Description: **

The selected psychiatric provider will

• Deliver inpatient psychiatric care within a 30-bed adult mental health unit, collaboratively working alongside another psychiatrist.
• Oversee patient management across three specialized units: Mental Health, MICA (Mentally Ill Chemically Addicted), and Gero-Psychiatry.
• Engage in close collaboration with hospitalists, medical specialists, and community-based healthcare providers to ensure comprehensive care.
• Actively participate in a multidisciplinary treatment team that includes counselors, therapists, case managers, nurse practitioners, and fellow psychiatrists.
• Provide treatment to a diverse population of adult psychiatric patients, addressing a wide range of medical, psychiatric, and socio-environmental factors.
• Exhibit a commitment to delivering patient-centered and compassionate care.
• Partake in the unit's on-call rotation, approximately one weekend in every six.

**Qualifications

• Must be Board Eligible or Board Certified in Psychiatry.
• Candidates should possess or be eligible for a New York State Medical License.
• A DEA registration must be obtained prior to commencement of employment.
• A clean malpractice history is required.
• Submission of the most recent NPDB Self Query Report (dated within the last 30 days) is mandatory.
